Banners, not actions

Mayor Fenty has been getting press for his “getting results” tagline. What we’ve been arguing is that he’s been getting selective results – breaking promises, for instance, to parents & students of Bruce Monroe, and to the Shaw residents who were promised new, permanently affordable housing here at Parcel 42.

Now, he’s apparently taking credit for NOT getting results as well. Or for our intentional community. It’s not clear.

What is clear is that this banner appeared the day after the Shaw library reopening across the street, when one Tent City supporter had this exchange with the mayor.
